Building Leadership Capacity for Health Improvement
The Community Teams Program offers continuing education in leadership and the practical skills needed to lead community health improvement.
A year-long program that includes a variety of learning activities
Three workshops 
Computer-based independent study modules
Application of skills through a team project
Consultation and technical assistance from experts
Learning content includes:
Community health improvement models
Practical evidence-based approaches to address health issues
Project planning and evaluation
Individual and collaborative leadership 
Communications with policy makers and the media
Coalition and team building 
Grantsmanship
The program’s target audience is Wisconsin’s public health system workforce, defined as those working to improve the health of the people of Wisconsin, regardless of the nature of their employment or professional affiliation.
Participants can earn CHES, nursing, or university continuing education credits. Additional types of continuing education credits may be available upon request.
